About Us
Established in November 2018 Western Stars Cali Dance Studio is a dance business. Jessica Cunningham (Owner/Principal Coach) has over 21 years of Calisthenics participation and 13 years of coaching in various forms. She has previously been the coaching coordinator for Queensland as well as the Australian Calisthenics Federation Coaching Council delegate for Queensland.
Western Stars Cali Dance Studio's vision is to pilot Calisthenics in Kingaroy, with a view to promote the dance sport & assist its growth in QLD. We will aim to compete in all age sections. Our goal is to also develop team work, performing arts, self-esteem and confidence in ones-self.
Our mission is to develop a passion for performing as well as individual technique, skills & performance quality all while having a great time & fun experience with our Western Stars Cali Dance Family.

Jessica began Calisthenics in Maryborough at Fraser Coast Calisthenics Club as a Junior at the age of 12. She spent many years at Fraser Coast competing as team member and soloist, as well as coaching various age groups.
Once finished school, Jessica completed a Bachelor of Education at the University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba Campus. During this time she competed at a Brisbane based Calisthenics club winning the state aggregate as well as taking multiple classes in various dance forms including Jazz, Tap, Contemporary and Hip Hop.
Jessica then began her career as a teacher in the Fraser Coast region before moving to the South Burnett. She is now a secondary dance teacher at Saint Mary's Catholic College, lead instructor of their Performance Team, the Secondary Learning Leader and Curriculum Learning Leader for the Arts.
Jessica established Western Stars Cali Dance Studio in November 2018. She believes Calisthenics is a beautiful artistic sport that develops life-long friendships, skills and self-confidence. Jessica is committed to providing a positive, caring, nurturing environment for pupils of all ages to grow and develop their performance skills. “Witnessing a young child accomplish something they never thought possible, brings me such joy. I love how I can share these special moments with dancers but also their friends and family as well. It truly is a magnificent gift."
